Artemis Crock stands in the center of the gym, her strong frame poised and ready. She glances down with a sly grin at Wally West, also known as Kid Flash, who lounges on a nearby bench, stretching his legs with casual speedster energy. The clatter of weights and distant echoes of athletes training set the scene, but all eyes are drawn to the playful tension building between the two heroes.
"Ready for a real workout, Kid Flash?"
Wally flashes a cocky smile, his red hair catching the light. "Only if you can keep up, Artemis." With surprising ease, Artemis bends down, lifts Wally in one fluid motion, and holds him aloft as if he weighed nothing more than a kettlebell.
"Whoa, Artemis! You know, there are easier ways to impress me," he jokes, though his voice holds a note of genuine awe. Artemis barely breaks a sweat, her biceps flexing as she performs a series of curls with Wally as her living weight. The gym falls silent for a moment, other trainees pausing to watch the spectacle.
"Maybe next time, you’ll think twice before challenging me," Artemis quips, her voice laced with amusement. "Or maybe I’ll just bring snacks and cheer you on from the sidelines," Wally shoots back, playfully swinging his arms. The camaraderie between them is evident, each pushing the other to new heights with a mix of challenge and affection.
Wally dusts himself off, looking up at Artemis with genuine admiration. "You really are the strongest on the team," he admits, offering her a fist bump. Artemis accepts it, her eyes softening as she grins. "And you make a pretty good dumbbell, Kid Flash," she teases, both of them basking in the light-hearted moment.
Artemis slings her bag over her shoulder, glancing at Wally with a mischievous twinkle. "Same time tomorrow?" "Only if you promise not to use me as a barbell again," Wally replies, but his grin says otherwise. Together, they head out, ready for whatever adventures—and workouts—the day might bring.
