Leo, a 15-year-old with a curious mind and a slight frame, stepped out of his math class, blinking against the afternoon sun. As he made his way through the throng of students, he spotted two familiar figures that caught his attention. Luna, with her long hair tied back into a ponytail, and Tanya, her confident stance unmistakable, stood by the old oak tree, chatting animatedly.
Leo approached them, a mix of nostalgia and amazement in his eyes. "Leo! It's been so long!" Luna exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with warmth. "You've got to see what we can do now," Tanya added with a mischievous grin. Without warning, Luna scooped Leo up effortlessly, carrying him across the yard while her laughter rang out like music.
Tanya watched with amusement, then took her turn, lifting Leo onto her shoulders as if he weighed nothing. Leo laughed, his initial surprise melting into sheer delight. "Remember when you used to carry us around the playground?" Luna teased, her voice filled with affection.
Luna and Tanya led Leo into the gym, where they joined their classmates for physical education. "Watch this," Tanya declared, her eyes twinkling with excitement. The girls took turns lifting heavy gym equipment and even some of their classmates, their newfound strength a marvel to behold.
Despite the show of strength, Leo felt no less significant. Instead, he reveled in the bond that remained unbroken despite the years. "You two are amazing," he said, admiration evident in his voice. "We couldn't have done it without you cheering us on from the sidelines," Luna replied, her smile wide and genuine.
The three friends sat on the benches, enjoying the comfortable silence that only true friends can share. "It's funny how things change," Tanya mused, glancing at Leo with affection. "But some things never do," he replied, knowing that their friendship was one of those timeless things. And as they laughed and reminisced, the world outside seemed to pause, holding its breath in honor of their unyielding bond.
