Riadh, a bright-eyed nine-year-old, clings to his parents’ hands, his heart fluttering with anticipation. Today marks the beginning of his journey across continents, and every detail seems sharper—the rich scent of mint tea, the faded family photos, the sound of his mother’s gentle laughter. "Will we see the sea when we arrive in Turkey?" he asks, peering up at his father, who smiles reassuringly.
Walking through the vibrant streets of Istanbul, Riadh is dazzled by the riot of colors—spices piled high in the markets, lanterns glowing in the dusk, the laughter of children playing in narrow alleyways. The family explores the city’s mysteries, savoring sweet baklava and tracing the echoes of history in the stones beneath their feet. "Everything feels magical here, Mama," he whispers, gazing at the illuminated Hagia Sophia as night falls.
Ten-year-old Riadh wanders in awe, imagining gladiators battling beneath the arches, the air thick with legend and the tang of fresh pasta. His parents guide him through winding streets, their laughter mingling with the melodies of street performers. "I wonder how many stories these stones could tell," he muses softly, his fingers trailing along ancient walls.
The city feels electric to Riadh, who marvels at the towering spires of the Duomo and the intricate mosaics. Each day brings a new adventure—gelato by the canal, laughter echoing in bustling squares, and moments of reflection in serene gardens. "I could stay here forever," he says as he twirls in the shadow of Leonardo’s Last Supper.
Uncle Brahim[/@ch_2], a kind-hearted friend, greets Riadh and his family with open arms.]
Inside a cozy chalet, Brahim and his gentle wife, Lucie, welcome their guests to ten days of warmth and laughter. The scent of chocolate and pine fills the rooms as Riadh explores forest trails, collecting wildflowers and stories from his hosts. "Switzerland has its own magic, Riadh. You just have to look for it," says Brahim, handing the boy a wooden toy carved by hand.
Djebbar and Mina, dear friends of Riadh’s parents, greet them with heartfelt embraces and stories of migration and hope. Together, they stroll through quiet streets lined with flowering trees, sharing memories of distant homelands and dreams for the future. "We found a home here, Riadh. With every journey, you carry a piece of each place in your heart," says Djebbar, as the boy gazes at the stars above.
